Peace of mind = priceless

Like most first time parents, I'm a bit paranoid. There are so many scary "your baby is in danger" articles that sometimes it's difficult to trust that my baby is ok. It was especially difficult when my baby was brand new and I had to sleep - what if he had trouble during the night? This lets me actually sleep, and know that if he has trouble breathing, I will know about it. For me, the price is totally, totally worth it.Some reviewers have commented on false alarms - I think one said that it led to the baby screaming, the parent hysterically crying, and the snuza being turned off after a long struggle with the baby's clothes. I have had multiple false alarms, but they do not happen frequently. (I still go running to the baby when I hear it, but don't have a panic attack about it.)Sometimes the alarm sounds because the snuza has slipped out of position (note: this is OUR fault - we rarely double the top edge of his diaper, per the instructions). Sometimes it sounds during middle of the night feedings (I think my hungry baby holds his breath when he's being greedy.) When it happens, I never have to struggle to get to the snuza under his clothes - the design is so simple that you can easily turn it off through most onesies or pajamas. Also, the false alarms reassure me, rather than stress me out. I would much rather the snuza alarm go off too often, than not go off when it really matters.Sometimes we can't figure out why the alarm went off. The snuza is attached and the baby was breathing when we got there. Maybe the baby hadn't been breathing before - and that's a scary thought.Basically, the snuza may never save my child's life, but it definitely helps me sleep at night. The cost and the occasional false alarms are well worth it to me.

Just get it

I love this little thing. The alarm actually went off the first night my daughter wore it....she's fine, thankfully. Bless that little reassuring flashing light. Peace of mind is worth every penny.

Secured mine with Bandie Band. Easy to use.

Bought this product when my daughter was 4 months old, wish I would've purchased sooner. We use cloth diapers so I wasn't sure if it would stay secure on her diapers, so I decided to secure it with a Bandie Band. This keeps it in place very well. I've only had very few false alarms with it falling off because I didn't secure it correctly, but I'd rather have a false alarm than nothing at all. I've only had to replace the battery once, and that was just recently. My daughter is 9 months old and we still use it. We use it during nap time as well. Definitely helps me sleep better at night. Would make such a great gift! Much more affordable than other options and gets the job done. Also I've secured it several times on her side and it still detects her movements. Would be easy for a babysitter or grandparent to use as well.

Piece of mind for first time, paranoid parents

I can't say enough good things about the Snuza! It is so easy to use and fool proof. My husband and I purchased the Snuza for our first child when she was about a week old and have been using it nightly ever since. It blinks green every time your baby inhales. You can see underneath light colored clothing and sleep sacks. It also has a setting where you can make it make a beep ( volume adjustable) during each inhalation if you need further reassurance. We've only had the alarm go off twice due to her diaper being too loose. I absolutely recommend it to all moms and dads and it is by far my favorite baby product we have purchased.

Great product! Let me sleep without worring that my son would stop breathing in the night and i w...

The day my son was born he almost died and had my husband gone to sleep he would have but thankful my husband was there and able to get a nurse to help because my baby turned blue and went limp due to him having some sort of fluid stuck in his throat that blocked his airway. After this incident I immediately started looking for a sleep monitor. I saw some other ones but after reading alot of reviews I bought this one. It took a while but I was finally able to sleep without constantly fearing my son would stop breathing and I wouldn't know. I think for his first 7-9 months we used this nightly. If you baby moves alot when they sleep then the beeper may move and go off for no reason we didn't have a problem with it going off until he was old enough that we stopped using it anyways. I tested it to make sure and alarm would go off and it does. I saw people's reviews where they said that it made them more paranoid because it would go off accidentally but this really was the only thing to help ease my mind while I slept and we never had a problem with it. We would clip it to his diaper and put his pjs over it and it worked great. If we tried it clipped to pants it would move sometimes so I think people who's go off for no reason maybe arnt making sure it's clipped well. Great product!
